Jane & John Does

I know it can be frustrating to try and solve cases when we are so far away from them. We all wish we could be more involved. Another way to help those families with missing loved ones is to try and identify the Jane & John Does. My thoughts are that if you choose to take on a case/cases that you start a missing persons search in the state they were found. If you find no matches start checking all border states surrounding the "found in" state. If you still find no matches start checking other states one by one. I know it's a huge task but for those of us who are here it can be a way to not feel so helpless and quite possibly help bring endings/beginnings to the Doe's loved ones. My thoughts on searching are just an idea. You can do it however you choose, even working cases in a group or with a partner. To get started I will add a link to Jane/John Does, which will have their info, and a map to see the state they were found & the bordering states. I have found that if you do a search for missing persons in a specific state you can get a lot of info that Namus: https://www.findthemissing.org/en may not have.
