#Missing University of Maryland student, Kaitlyn George, age 21, was last seen on Thursday, November 10th, 2016 at approximately 4:00 p.m. in Allegany Hall on the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland campus, located in Prince George's County, #Maryland.
George was last seen wearing black leggings, a green long-sleeved jacket and brightly colored, mid-calf-level socks. She may be carrying a black-and-white camping backpack and a green canvas bag. George is described as 5’3” tall, weighing about 121 pounds with hazel eyes and blonde hair.

COLLEGE PARK, MD. (WUSA9) - The New Jersey family of a missing University of Maryland Aerospace Engineering student said they are beside themselves with worry, and have gathered at a College Park motel in hopes of a break in the case.

“We’re worried sick about her,” said Jeanine Bryde, the aunt of 21-year old Kaitlyn George, who has gone missing.

George was last seen leaving her dormitory Thursday evening heading to the University of Maryland Adventure Program offices at the Eppley Recreation Center to pick up camping gear for a planned trip to climb Old Rag in the Shenandoah National Park.

George never checked the equipment out, and her camping partner never heard from her.

George is an excellent student enrolled in one of the University’s most challenging Engineering Programs. She is trained in outdoor sports rescue and is a marathon runner.

Her family said disappearing without telling anyone, particularly before a planned trip is “completely out of character.”

“We’re devastated,” her Aunt said.

University of Maryland Police said they have no evidence of foul play in George’s disappearance. Even so, they are urging anyone who has had contact with her to contact them immediately.

George did not have a vehicle and authorities do not know how she may have left campus, her family said.

Police said George is approximately 5’3” and approximately 121 pounds. She has hazel eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a green long sleeved jacket, and bright colored socks (that are mid-calf level). She possibly had a black and white camping backpack and a green canvas bag with her.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WBFF) – A University of Maryland student is missing and police are worried for her welfare.

UMD Police are asking for the public’s help to find 21-year-old Kaitlyn George. She was last seen by her roommates on campus at Allegany Hall on Thursday around 4 p.m.

Kaitlyn is described as being a white woman who is 5’3” and 121 pounds with hazel eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing black legging, a green long-sleeved jacket and bright-colored mid-calf socks. She may have a black-and-white camping backpacking and a green canvas bag with her.

he search for University of Maryland student Kaitlyn George, 21, continues in College Park, Maryland, and her family are pleading for the help of the public. George was last seen leaving her dorm on Thursday with outdoor gear, on her way to meet her boyfriend to leave on a camping trip. Kaitlyn George never showed.

Prince George’s County police say that George was last seen leaving her dorm, Allegany Hall, around 4 p.m. and heading towards the Eppley Rec Center where she was supposed to get some extra camping gear. Kaitlyn George has not been seen since. George is from Toms River, New Jersey, and her family is now on campus at the University of Maryland joining the search.

Kaitlyn George’s aunt, Jeanine Bryde, says this is totally out of character for George.

“It is out of character she’s a responsible young lady. She takes leadership training she got certified in outdoor rescue last summer.”

Sad. Odd how she was reported missing so quickly. Does anyone know where the searches if any are being conducted?
